Full List of House Democrats at Risk of Losing Their Seats

U.S. elections will be held for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives when voters go to the polls on November 5, with Republicans hoping to retain control over the second chamber which they won at the 2022 midterm elections.
Currently the Republicans have 220 House of Representatives seats against 212 for the Democrats, with another three vacant. The GOP are hoping to win control of the Senate in November, in which Democratic affiliated Senators currently have a wafer-thin majority, having failed to do so in 2022 when a widely anticipated “red wave” failed to materialize.
A major study by the Cook Political Report, a group which provides non-partisan election analysis, has highlighted 36 races in which an incumbent Democrat could be under threat, split between those classed as “likely Democrat,” “lean Democrat” and “Democratic toss up.”
On Thursday a study published by FiveThirtyEight, a polling analysis website, concluded the Democrats have a 48 percent chance of winning control of winning control of the House during November’s elections, whilst the Republicans have a 52 percent chance of retaining their hold over the second chamber.
The conclusion was based on a study of “polling, economic and demographic data.”
Separately in the presidential race Vice-President Kamala Harris has a 2.5 point lead over Donald Trump according to an analysis of recent polling conducted by FiveThirtyEight, published on October 11. However, due to the Electoral College system she could win the popular vote but lose the election overall, as Hillary Clinton did in 2016.
Newsweek has produced a list of all the House Democrats who the Cook Political Report suggests could be under threat in November.
These are divided into seats in which it is a tossup whether the Democratic incumbent will lose, those where this is unlikely and those where it is very unlikely. These three categories replicate the “Democratic toss up,” “lean Democrat” and “likely Democrat” sections produced by the Cook Political Report.
